“Never give up your aim,” had been the title of a song by the German singer Harald Walter Bernhard Schubring alias Ted Herold in the year 1981. The Paris fashion designer Imane Ayissi stuck by this until he finally achieved his aim; he was the first couturier of black African origin, whose fashion presentation was included into the official calendar of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode.
