The Berlin fashion week, which lasted from 13th January 2020 to 17th January 2020 this time, continued to shrink. The group exhibition “BERLINER SALON” existed no longer, which had already been certain in March 2019, when Markus Kurz, one of the initiators as well as the managing director of the agency “NOWADAYS” and organiser of the event series “MBFW”, had declared: “The cessation of the Berliner Salon is the result of a realistic assessment of the market and its potential. In our opinion, from a professional point of view, the format cannot be internationally competitively developed further on the basis of the existing Berlin trade fair data.” Now the central event site was the former Mitte combined heat and power station under the name “Kraftwerk Berlin”.
