Shenzhen, a sub-provincial town in the Guangdong Province of the People’s Republic of China, is, for the Chinese market, a metropolis in the women’s apparel sector. About two thousand companies with a quota of own brands of 95 % and almost three hundred thousand employees, including about twenty thousand designers, had generated the amount of 30.7 billion Euros in the year 2018, whereby the partial amount of 8.6 billion Euros had accounted for the export, according to the statement by the local interest group “Shenzhen Garment Industry Association (SGIA)”, founded in the year 1988.
