“Fiction needs more female spies,” the British feminist and publicist Natasha Walter had once uttered. Her debut novel “A Quiet Life” from the year 2016 is a spy thriller, at whose centre a female person stands. In view of the ready‑to‑wear collection for spring and summer of 2020 of the Reggio Emilia‑based brand “MaxMara”, its creative director Ian Griffiths came up with the idea of creating garments as costumes for an imaginary theatrical motion picture, yet to be made.
