The fashion designer Elisabetta Franchi from Granarolo dell’Emilia near Bologna knows how to stage fashion glamorously. This time the Italian actress Maria Luisa Ceciarelli alias Monica Vitti was her inspiring muse as a modern symbol of authenticity. Everything revolved around the style of the 1970s as an era of female rebellion and power. Charisma and irony merged into a mélange of vivid, bold colours and striking shapes. The result was the grandiose ready‑to‑wear collection for autumn and winter of 2018/2019, which Elisabetta Franchi presented in a marquee in the courtyard of the Teulié Military School in Milan on 24th February 2018.
