The type of dandy fascinated the Milan fashion designers Luisa Beccaria and Lucilla Bonaccorsi. They looked for a very feminine counterpart. They found the British singer and actress Marian Evelyn Faithfull alias Marianne Faithfull. The British writer and photographer Charles Lutwidge Dodgson alias Lewis Carroll’s dreamlike world and the Italian painter Giovanni Boldini’s aesthetics were added. It resulted in a fashionable composition of contrasts, which balanced harmoniously different voices.
