Sometimes a fashion presentation causes outrage and resistance. The Italian animal welfare association “ESSERE ANIMALI” pointed out in the Milan fashion week, that there were still fur farms in Italy. According to its statement, one hundred and sixty thousand minks died each year in Italy, whereas such a practice had been prohibited elsewhere in Europe long ago. On the occasion of the fashion show of the Milan brand “PRADA” in the house of the Prada Foundation on 22nd February 2018, the animal rights activists protested against the killing of minks for their pelts under the motto “#160MILAVISONI DA SALVARE” and demanded, that the next government after the election put an end to it. They solicited the guests and passer-bies for votes or signatures for a corresponding petition.
