In politics, one knows the terms “failed state” and “failed town”. In the matter of fashion, Berlin is the latter, because the demise as a fashion location continues. Since the last time of the event series “Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek BERLIN” from 4th July 2017 to 7th July 2017, it is not clear, how the Berlin fashion week shall go on. Moreover the ESMOD Berlin – International University of Arts for Fashion, which had come in the year 2011 from the fashion school “ESMOD Berlin”, founded in the year 1994, ceased its activities on 1st October 2017, after the fashion school “ESMOD Munich” had given up in favour of its Berlin partner with the certification of its last graduate class at the last fashion show on 13th May 2017.
