The victory of geometry

Suprematism in the fashion

Art moves people. An art movement changes the world. At the Moscow brand “VALENTIN YUDASHKIN”, the fashion designer Gala Yudashkina concerned herself with the artistic avant-garde. Her eyes fell on Kazimir Severinovich Malevich, the painter of Polish descent in Russia as the founder of suprematism. The reduction to simple geometrical forms for the visualisation of the highest human principles of knowledge, that is to say the combination of multicoloured surfaces as well as straight lines, rectangles, squares, circles and other geometrical figures in different colours and sizes, had resulted in non-figurative compositions, which found themselves in the ready‑to‑wear collection for spring and summer 2018 now.
