In ancient times, a competition between the city-states of Athens and Thebes for supremacy in Greece had existed. Nowadays Paris and Milan compete against each other for the top spot among the fashion metropolises. In the field of ready‑to‑wear habiliment, it was not overlooked recently, that shrinkage took place in Paris, but it did not look like shrinking for recovery.
