The fashion designer Óscar de la Renta from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic founded the brand “Oscar de la Renta” in New York in the year 1966, after he had worked first in Madrid and then in Paris. After his death in the year 2014 the British fashion designer Peter Copping became the creative director of the fashion house Oscar de la Renta LLC. In the year 2016 the American fashion designers Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim, who had already made a name for themselves with their common brand “MONSE” in New York, took the lead.
